Sunday February 22 2026 ~ Peaceful Mind, Happy Heart
Ever struggle with a busy, scattered or anxious mind? If so, you are not alone! This has been a human challenge for millenia. The Yoga Sutras of Patañjali, written around 500 BC, addresses this very issue. This workshop – “Peaceful Mind, Happy Heart” – distills insights and techniques from The Yoga Sutras, offering you a simple way to finally calm and clear your mind. It includes an overview of the whys and hows of meditation, and a 15-minute guided meditation session.
Friday March 20 2026 ~ The Sun Salutations
On this first day of Spring, join me for a closer look at the twelve postures that make up the Sun Salutations (Sivananda sequence). We’ll break down each posture, exploring its alignment, effects and symbolism. I’ll offer a few simple variations that make the postures more accessible. And then we’ll put all it together, moving with the breath, for an enlivening practice that warms the body, lubricates the joints, and builds strength, stamina and flexibility.
Sunday April 19 2026 ~ Prana & Pranayama
Yoga offers many tools to support our wellness – in body, mind and spirit. This workshop delves into the concept of prana (life energy) and the practice of pranayama (breathing exercises to increase and direct this energy). We’ll explore the benefits, techniques and contraindications of several pranayama practices, including: Dirgha, Ujjayi, Kapalabhati, Nadi shodhana, Sitali, Bhramari, and Kumbhaka.
